This book takes up where Masterson’s book Automatic Wealth left off. Unlike Automatic Wealth, this book isn’t so much a blueprint as it is case studies.
I’m not a big one for case studies because the problem with case studies is that the person frequently shows you how he/she did it, but there’s very little information on how you can do it.
In Part I, Masterson explains what you need to do to become wealthy. This information isn’t as comprehensive as the other book, but it does give you something to get started with.
In Part II, he offers eight different case studies. Some of the names are real, and some of them aren’t. What I didn’t like about this part is that it would have been interesting to look up these people for more information and to possibly buy their products.
Luckily for me, the case study that most fit my situation had the real person’s name.
Masterson recommends you read through all of the case studies once and then select one that is closest to your situation to reread again.
I didn’t realize how helpful that would really be until I did it, and then what he was trying to teach became much clearer. It helped me to formulate my own plan for success.
In the final part of the book, Masterson gives some final advice to help you.
What this book is good for is helping you to see the whole wealth building process in action. You may read it by itself, but you will find it far more effective if you read Automatic Wealth first. Then you are able to see how those in the case studies applied this information to their own lives.
Even if you don’t read Automatic Wealth first, you will still find some valuable information in this book. He shows you how to achieve financial independence regardless of where you are in your life and what occupation you are coming from.
For those who are baby boomers (those born between 1946 and 1964), this book is a must have because it will get you started in building wealth and building wealth quickly. Even if you aren’t a baby boomer, you will still benefit from reading this book because you will avoid spending the next 40 years of your life achieving wealth.
