For those of you who are interested in using promotion techniques like Google Adwords, or Yahoo Ads, here is an article on how the major search engines use pay per click to promote. To me, this is proof that this is an excellent marketing technique, and for those of you who aren’t interested in using writing as a way to promote, it’s a very viable promotion method for you.

For those of you who promote affiliate programs, it can be tough creating search engine friendly content for your website. You can spend hours and hours writing product reviews, as well as adding these product reviews to your website.
Even if you write a ton of product reviews, you will have to continue to write product reviews or other content to keep the search engines coming back. Providing automatic, and constantly updated content on your website eliminates the problem of raising and maintaining your search engine rankings. This will also help you cut down on the amount of time that you spend maintaining your website. This will free up a lot of your time. You can spend this time promoting your website, which, in the long run, will make you more money.

Although Alexa’s search results are driven by Google, this is a definite must in your search engine marketing plan.
The reason is that Alexa will provide statistics about your website that no other search engine or web directory will provide.
These statistics include:
*Your site ranking on the internet
*What sites are linking to yours
*Detailed traffic statistics
*Site thumbnails
*Site Speed
