An Important Update to Article Marketer

I received an email from Article Marketer this morning about their affiliate program. If you are currently an affiliate of Article Marketer, you need to go over there and sign up for the new affiliate program. You will need your old affiliate ID so that they can link your two accounts together, and you won’t lose any commissions you are due.

I highly recommend you read all of the information prior to signing up for your new account. That way you will understand all of the changes.

Please note that if you don’t update your affiliate account, you won’t get credit for anyone clicking through your current links.

For those of you who write articles, you won’t find a better deal or a site that will help you more in getting your articles published throughout the web. I love this site, and it has helped me easily promote my articles.

You can get all of the details of their affiliate program, as well as information on how to sign up at their site. You can also get tons of resources to teach you article marketing. Right now, you can learn from Maria Marsala how to write an article in eight minutes. Pretty sweet! (I’ll be listening to that podcast myself.)

Have a Happy Thanksgiving

Today is a day of celebration for us, and so I’ll be taking the day off. Since I seem to live and breathe internet marketing, I’ll probably be thinking about it today even while I’m eating my turkey. LOL.

As we move into the holiday season, I plan to switch gears and talk more about the various internet marketing techniques.

Internet marketing is generally the thing that people think about least during the holiday season, but it is something that you need to spend more time thinking about, and doing, during the holiday season. Things will slow down, but they will also pick up come January, and you need to be prepared. You need to market more.

I’ll be providing some resources and tools over the next few weeks to help you market better. Many of these tools are free. Don’t pay for things that you don’t have to. We’ll also talk about automation. The key to running a one person business, and not working 16 hours a day is using automation and specific systems to organize your work and get it done.

Have a great Thanksgiving. We Americans have a lot to be grateful for today. I live in Georgia, and we’ve been having a severe drought. It’s raining today, which is really good news because we desperately need it.

Have a great day and a great Thanksgiving.

Blogs to Help You Make Money

Since I told you about the Blog Profits Blueprint, I thought it was only fair that I share some of the blogs that I have found that have really helped me with my blogging.

Some of these sites you may have heard of, and some of them you may not have, but I highly recommend you check them out. I’m a member of all of their communities at My Blog Log, and this is a really easy way to keep track of them.

Yaro has a blog called Entrepreneur’s Journey. You’ll find lots of tips on here about starting and marketing a business.

ProBlogger.net – For those of you who want to turn your blogging into a business and earn your income from it, this is the blog you read. In fact, it’s probably the highest ranking blog on the internet for blogging. It’s run by Darren Rowse, you’ll find tons of information on blogging, monetizing your blog, and even a complete section for newbies. Darren is pretty good about showing you how to do things. The place to start for the serious blogger.

Oops! I almost forgot to tell you that for those of you who are looking for Blogging Jobs, Darren has a job board.

JohnChow.com – When I first heard about this guy losing 200 blogs at Blog Rush, I thought he was just some blog spammer or something. I found him on My Blog Log though, and I started reading his stuff after he started a contest with ShoeMoney. I also read his ebook, and I’m really glad I did.

John will give you some of the best information on WordPress plugins for your blog. Stuff that will really help you improve the way you deliver information. John also injects a lot of personality into his site and work, making him really interesting to read, and he’s very generous at sharing. This blog is for those who want to make more money from blogging, especially if you’re hosting your own WordPress.

ShoeMoney – Whether you are a blogger or not, you’ll find this blog to be helpful because it’s all about how to make money online. Jeremy puts a lot of personality into his writing as well. If you don’t visit this blog for anything else, go over there and see the check that Jeremy got from Google for over $130,000.

This blog is a great place to start for anyone who wants to start making money online. Plenty of great ideas, and you’ll find out what works and what doesn’t.

These are the three I read the most. I not only love writing blogs, but I love reading them. These three have helped me the most.

One thing I would recommend you do is visit My Blog Log. That’s my favorite place to find blogs, and all you need is a yahoo email account now because Yahoo bought it. You can also read these blogs over there. It makes it a lot easier to keep up.

Another way to find great blogs is to go to Technorati. If you want to learn how to turn those blogs into traffic for your blogs, read John Chow’s ebook. ;)

Free Ebook: Blog Profits Blueprint

Blog Profits Blueprint

Although I offered this as part of my Veterans’ Day gifts, I was so impressed with this ebook that I wanted to write a review and tell those of you who blog how it can really help you.

First, I’ve bought enough ebooks to tell you that just because something is free doesn’t make it junk. In fact, I think Yaro is crazy for giving this ebook away because it really does have some excellent marketing ideas in it. There are plenty of $97 ebooks out there that you couldn’t pay me to take, and so price doesn’t always make something good.

Although sometimes I feel like I’m reading the same thing over and over when I read a lot of internet marketing texts, I actually learned something from reading this ebook.

This ebook, like many others, does explain blogging, what it is, why you might want to do it, etc. Even though I thought about skipping this part of the ebook, I didn’t because it gave me a chance to check over my blogs and make sure that I had included all of the right marketing plugins, as well as the best plugins to make my blogs communities.

Making it search engine friendly was important because, by using a blog platform, you can get a lot of organic traffic from the search engines.

You’ll also learn how to select the blog topic that’s right for you, as well as how to create the best possible content for your blog.

There’s plenty of information on how to monetize your blog, whether you’re planning to use ads, affiliate programs, or a combination of the two. Yaro will show you all of the different ways you can monetize your blog, which ways are better, and why. You can learn how to create a steady income from your blogs whether you’re working or not.

With plenty of advice for beginners, this ebook is one that I highly recommend for anyone who is intersted in getting started in blogging, or making more money from the blogs you already have. The techniques Yaro offers are solid, and they can help you avoid many of the pitfalls beginning bloggers face.

Need a Good Free Blog Client?

Qumana

I believe I told everyone that my business has been going through a lot of changes lately. One of those has been, of course, that I’ve converted most of my sites to blogs, and I’ve been doing a lot of writing lately, as well as adding content to these sites.

I have bought a few WordPress plugins to help me with this, but unfortunately, some I haven’t been able to get to work, and with all of the changes at Article Marketer, I’m still waiting on that script to kick in. So, I spend a lot of time working on my blogs.

It gets very time consuming to log into each of my blogs every time I want to make a post. I had to come up with a solution that would allow me to work from one interface. Since I didn’t find out about the WordPress script that allows you to run multiple blogs from one interface until it was too late, I had to come up with another solution.

That’s where Qumana comes in. I’ve tried a lot of blog clients. In fact, one of my favorites is Blog Auto Publisher. The problem is that the older I get, the harder it is to read the computer screen sometimes, especially after I’ve been on the computer for awhile, and Blog Auto Publisher doesn’t let you go full screen with the program.

So, I’ve been using Qumana, and I love it. It has allowed me to add all of my blogs, and I can switch back and forth between blogs to make posts. This is especially convenient when I’m reading my email because I’m always finding all kinds of goodies in my emails to tell you about. It helps me write my posts fast, and it has a spell checker. Even though I know how to spell, sometimes I type so fast I make a lot of mistakes, and so this helps me to slow down and write it right. LOL.

One of the best things about Qumana is that it’s very easy to use, and it doesn’t take a lot of time to get started. It’s very easy to set up your blogs, and if you want to embed videos, or any other type of HTML, you just copy and paste your code and then use the insert HTML function.

You can also jump between blogs very easily, and it makes it easy to post the same post to multiple blogs. I do this occasionally when I have a post that I want to put on more than one blog. It’s a whole lot easier than using the import function on Blog Auto Publisher. I also don’t have to do any copy and paste.

If you want to monetize your blog and make some extra money, you can sign up for QAds. These are little image ads you can insert in your blog posts and make money. They are compatible with Adsense, so you won’t get in trouble.

The best part, is, of course, that Qumana is free, and it’s very easy to install.

If you try it out and decide you don’t like it, then try Post2Blog. Since I’ve tried just about every free blog client there is to make it easier and faster to get my work done, these are the two blog clients I’ve found that will help you do just that.

Now, if they would only write my blog posts for me so I can take a vacation!
