I’m sure you’ve heard of the oft-used ‘logic tells emotion sells’. It’s true, as with headlines, as with ads and as with forum titles…

‘This little mistake almost got me banned and kicked out of Google Adsense’ sure beats ‘How to stay within Google Adsense guidelines’

Use pain, use pleasure and emotive words that gets > people engaged in what you’re saying

** Ask A Question **

People are helpful by nature, more so when they’re in a marketing forum and want to get their name and signature links seen!

‘How do I make this change in wordpress?’

‘How do I start making my first Adsense check from blogs?’

The above are a few examples of how asking a simple and seemingly harmless question can solicit a response from the forum community.

** It’s A Number’s Game **

This has to do with number and specificity. ‘How I increase sales by 62% last week’ beats ‘how I increased my sales last week’

And in a forum full of words, having numbers in your title makes it stand out just that little bit

** Familiarity Breeds…? **

State the obvious and the familiar. People gravitate towards something familiar (and obvious) to them.

The same goes for forums

‘There is no get ric.h quick forumla in internet marketing’

That’s something almost everyone agrees with and will surely want to chip in and give their own experience with relation to the topic.

** Make People Go ‘Ha-Ha’ **

Make people laugh! Some of the most viral and most seen videos are the ones that are funny!

The same goes for emails, websites, jokes and forum posts.. If you’ve something funny to share, share it!
