Jason Cain, a top blogger who makes six figures blogging, once made the remark that Matt Drudge, of the Drudge Report, is basically a moron for not building a list. According to Cain, Drudge could make a lot more money from his business if he built a list. (Matt Drudge currently makes about $1.5 million a year without a list).
Whether or not you should build a list has always been up for debate. Some marketer insist that you have to have a list to make a lot of money online, while the ones who make a lot of money without list building are pretty much silent about it. I guess they’re too busy making money. I don’t know.
Anyway, I just recently finished reading Affiliate Millions, by Anthony Borelli and Greg Holden, and it gave me a new perspective on the whole idea of making money online, as well as automation for your business.
For those of you who have a little money to burn, this may just be your solution. You don’t need to be computer savvy, you don’t have to build a website, and you can get started, and start earning in less than 30 minutes.
This system works so well that the author, Anthony Borelli, took his business to $1.5 million a year in one year. He did it without a website and a list, and the only promotional technique he used was pay per click.
Now although I don’t normally write about this kind of stuff, I was intrigued by the whole idea, and so I read the book.
It really is a good book, and what I liked best about it is that this book will show you a complete system for making money online. Unlike a lot of other books on internet marketing, Borelli isn’t trying to sell you a $5,000 seminar or anything like that. He actually explains what search marketing is, he shows you how he did it, and he walks you through the process start to finish, there are no high ticket upsells behind this book.
He starts off by teaching you what search marketing is, and he focuses on Google Adwords and MSNaDcenter. Then he walks you through the steps of signing up for your accounts, shows you how to find affiliate programs to sell, and then teaches you how to write ads.
In fact, this is one of the best chapters I’ve ever read on writing ads. He makes it simple. He also shows you the pitfalls of writing ads and how to avoid those.
Then he teaches you how to calculate your profits, how to determine if an ad campaign actually works, and what to do if you end up with more profitable campaigns than you have money to fund.
The only affiliate program he doesn’t mention is Clickbank, and he doesn’t teach you anything about selecting products there, or earning money from this. This could solve your problem of getting paid faster if you had a few Clickbank campaigns running. (For more information on marketing Clickbank, you should read Ewen Chia’s Affiliate Money Machine. This is one of the best ebooks I’ve found on marketing affiliate programs, and it’s free.)
Overall, this is a great book for learning about pay per click and marketing affiliate programs, and I highly recommend it. You’ll find all of the crucial information you need for marketing affiliate programs using pay per click in this one book, as well as plenty of free resources Borelli has created to help you. I highly recommend it.

Great review. The book is based on a great idea, my only contention is that the book is a bit dated and it does not mention that MOST affiliate programs mentioned by this book (CJ, LinkShare, etc.) do not allow linking directly to the website…I would love to give this a try, but I am having a hard time finding affiliate programs that are a good fit.
