Court: Craigslist Not Liable For Discriminatory Ads
I ran across this news story when I was reading my email the other day. I thought it was important to share it with you because it really is an important court case for those that do advertising of any kind, especially in the United States.
Now that Craig’s List has been exonerated in this case, expect to see government entities go after those that post any type of discriminatory ads.
This should serve as a warning to all of us: not only should your ad be truthful, it had better meet the letter of the law.
In my next post, I’ll give you some tips on posting on Craig’s List. Although I’ve talked about this before, one of my readers asked about it again, and so I’ll write some more about it.
