CafePress

Recently my daughter decided that she wanted to earn some money on the internet, and so she and I discussed all of the different ways that you can earn money.

We finally decided on CafePress because she’s a creative type, and we started to create our own designs.

I wish I had gotten involved in this site a long time ago because it’s some of the most fun I’ve ever had doing business online. It’s so easy to create your own designs, and you can make Tshirts, all kinds of novelty items, as well as publishing your books, CDs, and DVDs. You can also create a newsletter to send out to your customers and visitors, and setting up a shop is very easy. You don’t even have to know HTML. If you can read and follow instructions, that’s how easy it is to create a shop over here.

Now, there are a couple of different ways that you can approach CafePress, and they’re both lucrative for you.

First, you can set up your own store. Since this site has a built in affiliate program, you have access to thousands of affiliates who can promote your stuff for you. Like selling on sites like Clickbank, Amazon, or PayDotCom, you can basically have an instant affiliate program with access to thousands, possibly millions of affiliates to sell your stuff.

You can set up as many free stores as you like. If you want more features, they also offer a very low cost way to have a website (about $6.99 a month, and your store is completely customizable.)

The advantage here is that you don’t have to run the affiliate program yourself. CafePress handles all of it for you. They take care of the affiliate checks, create the creatives, and all of the administrative details that’s involved in running an affiliate program. This is major leverage for you, especially if you are a one person affiliate program looking to earn major money.

The other part of this is as an affiliate. CafePress offers a lucrative affiliate program that pays 15 percent. There are plenty of scripts out there, both free and paid, where you can set up your own customized store of CafePress products, and you can sell all kinds of products off this site.

There’s another element of this if you host your own Wordpress blog. You can sign up for PrestoGifto, which is a free Wordpress plugin you can use to display products from CafePress on your blog.

You can also join the affiliate program, create your own store, and earn money both from the affiliate program selling others’ stuff, as well as selling your own.
