ScribeFire – Fire Up Your Blogging!
Recently I made the switch from Internet Explorer to Firefox. I have been a fan of IE for a long time because it’s faster, and quite frankly it was easier to use.
However, somewhere a long the line, it became unstable, and after getting a virus on our home desktop from using it, I switched to Firefox.
Firefox 3 is much more stable, and it’s easier to use. It’s also faster now. With better speed, more security, and some great tools to increase my productivity, it has become my default browser.
One of my favorite features is how I have been able to increase my productivity, especially with blogging. I’ve started using a new tool called Scribe Fire.
What Scribe Fire does is allow you to use a feature called “Blog This Page.”
After you install Scribe Fire, you add a button to your browser toolbar. Every time you’re on a page you want to write about, you click the drop down on the button and then click “Blog this page.”
A blog editor opens, and it will automatically put the link to the page in your blog editor. Then you have the option to write your blog post.
It’s not perfect. It doesn’t match all of the fields that I have in WordPress. My workaround for that though is to simply save the post as a draft, and when I’m ready to post it, I log into my WordPress and add the extras, like tags, trackbacks, and SEO.
This little extra inconvenience is worth it though because it allows me to deliver my blog my way. I give my readers better news, and I get better search engine rankings.
Another feature I really like about this site is ScribeFire Quick Ads. This site offers you the highest paying ads from over 100 networks. Instead of having to hassle with ad rotators and stuff like that, you only need one little piece of code, and it’s fully customizable.
It also allows you to offer keywords keyed to ads, and unlike the WordPress plugin I was using to do this, Alinks, it doesn’t interfere with any of the links I post. My readers go to the right place every time.
If you want to increase your blogging productivity, as well as make more money from your blog, I highly recommend this site.
Even if you use Internet Explorer, you still qualify for the ads program.
