I received this email from Dave Dee. I think it’s important to your business, especially in light of what’s going on in the US in terms of illegal immigration.

You’ll find me writing on the topic of success a lot in the coming weeks. The reason is that I believe that if you really want to help others, first you have to have something to give them.

Second, you can’t help others if you haven’t helped yourself.

Enjoy! As always, Dave has some great advice. It’s why I read him.

Hi Jinger,

As you might know, I love horror movies and I see most of them that come out. One of my all time favorites is “The Night of the Living Dead” by George A. Romero. Well, I recently rented the newest Romero DVD “Land of the Dead” which I saw last week.

First, it wasn’t scary. In fact there was only one really creepy scene where the zombies slowly emerge en mass from a dark, murky river. I hate the new genre of “action/horror” movies where there are more explosions and gun battles than actual scares.

Second, Romero makes a very obvious and weak political statement about corporate greed and the supposed growing gap between the haves and the have nots. Once again, capitalism
is under attack by Hollywood. I’m sure that’s why the liberal press has, for the most part, given this otherwise “B” level movie such high praise.

Regardless of your political affiliation, liberalism that leans so far left that it becomes socialism is bad for business, very bad.

And by the way, I believe that conservatism that leans so far to the right that it refuses to acknowledge that there are people in society that legitimately need a helping hand is bad for business as well.

As an entrepreneur your focus must be on making maximum profits for your shareholders even if there is only one shareholder - you. Making maximum profits is the central purpose of being in business.

Now, what you do with all the money you make is up to you. Support any causes that you believe in. Donate as much money to the poor as you desire. But don’t believe that because
you are getting wealthy and acquiring riches that you are somehow depriving someone else of the same opportunity. That’s not the way it works.

The best way for you to help the poor is not to become one of them.

Kick butt, make mucho dee-nero!

PS. Yesterday, I got two diametrically opposing emails. One was thanking me for my daily emails that “tell it like it is.” The other email was from someone who said I was a scam artist who sold things that didn’t work. She want to know what my “step-by-step” moneymaking plan was and didn’t believe I even had one.

The truth is the stuff I sell doesn’t work, if the person who buys it doesn’t work it. As far as my step by step plan? It’s part Dan Kennedy’s, part Jeff Paul’s and part mine. If you’re interested in learning more about it, go to http://www.astonishingbusiness.com
