Pennsylvania takes on online auctions | Philadelphia Inquirer | 01/30/2008
I normally don’t mix my business and politics, but I stumbled across this story on the internet, and I thought it was worth noting.
For those of you who live in Pennsylvania, and you sell on Ebay, be warned. Apparently the government there has nothing better to do than sabotage their already weak economy, as well as harass an honest hard working mother who was trying to take care of her sick child.
What’s a real travisty here is that this woman is being threatened with a $10 million fine for selling on Ebay without a "license".
I have to ask, do people who go to auctions and buy and sell stuff have to have a license? I thought that was the auction house.
Anyway, if you’re selling on Ebay, you need to know. I hope these people in Pennsylvania come to their senses.
