Craig’s List Help

 Your first step in marketing on Craig’s List should be to read the help section on the Craig’s List site. This is the most valuable resource you will find on the topic of Craig’s List because it’s written by the people who run Craig’s List.

Once you understand how Craig’s List works, then you need to write your first ad. Keep in mind that if you want to get the most out of Craig’s List, you need to do two things:

1. Write an effective ad. Giving away a free ebook, course, report, software, or some other resource is not only a great way to build your list, but it’s also a great way to let others get to know your company.

2. Submit more than one ad in one location. You are only allowed to submit one ad every 48 hours.  However, each ad is good for 45 days, and once you set your ad up, then all you have to do is go into your account and resubmit the ad. Takes about 30 seconds, and the ad is good for another 45 days. Keep putting your ads up there. Make them keyword rich so they go high on the search engines. Pretty soon, you’ll have an arsenal of ads up there marketing for you 24/7.

You can submit ads to Craig’s List without an account. If you want your ads accepted immediately though, sign up for an account. Don’t abuse it.

Now, one of the things you can’t market on Craig’s List is affiliate programs. Whatever you are selling is supposed to be your own product. However, there is a way around this, and it is perfectly legal, and it will really help you build your business.

Before I mentioned giving away something free. Plenty of merchants, myself included, have free ebooks, reports, and software that you can brand and give away. Take advantage of that. You can get an autoresponder, set up a lead capture page, and give away a free report.

When you send a visitor directly to the merchant’s site, you are building his/her list, not yours. By building your list, you can recycle your traffic and make more sales.

Niche List Builder - Free software you can use to build your lead capture pages. I’ve tried it out, and it’s easy as pie to build pages with this software. Although I think that Munya is crazy for giving this software away for free, it’s one of the best freebies I’ve ever gotten, and you should get it before he stops giving it away.

Several of my readers have asked me to recommend software to automate the process of posting to Craig’s List, I really can’t. Although I have investigated this software, I know that by it’s use, you will be violating the terms of service on Craig’s List. I can’t recommend anything that violates the terms of service on any site because I won’t do something in my business I know is dishonest.

Below are several resources to help you with this. The first one is paid; the rest are free. Use them, read them, and follow what they tell you to do, and I promise, you will succeed in your business.
