Squidoo Tips

I am a big fan of Ron Passfield. Before he released his ebook, Squidoo Strategies, he had me take a look at it.

Ron is amazing. This is really a no fluff deal here. He’s committed to teaching you how to build Squidoo lenses and make money. If Ron visits your lens and leaves you a nice comment, it’s really high praise indeed.

Anyway, I wanted to tell you about his blog. He writes about Squidoo, and you’ll find some pretty good strategies there.

For those of you who don’t know what Squidoo is, let me explain.

It’s been called the grownup My Space. In fact, I love it better than My Space. I don’t have nitwits with fake profiles posting stupid offers on my profile. My profile stays clean.

It offers community. You can share your lens and check out other great lenses.

It was created by Seth Godin, one of my favorite marketers and online entrepreneurs, and since its inception, it’s risen to the top 1000 sites on the internet.

As for a Squidoo lens, it’s a pretty tightly focused page about a particular topic. You’ll find articles, links, and other resources all on the page, and it makes it easier to find what you are looking for because all you have to do is browse down the page.

Now, some can build an entire lens in 8 minutes. Not me. I have to take my time, and I guess whatever I am doing is working because one of my lenses is in the top 1000.

Oh yeah! Squidoo lenses can also raise your rankings in the search engines. Depending on what search keywords you use, usually to the first page.

It’s also easy money. Commercial activity on this site is encouraged, and you even share in the revenue and referrals.

Again, if you want to know more about this free marketing opportunity, then check out Ron’s blog. He’s my go to guy on this one. Thanks Ron!
