CNBC Stock Blog — Rick Santelli — Chicago Tea Party — Mortgage Revolt – CNBC Stock Blog – CNBC.com

Although this isn’t exactly related to internet marketing, it does have a lot to do with online business and the current state of the economy. If you have seen this video, I highly encourage you to watch it. It will give you a good laugh to start your weekend with, and with the economy in the toilet, and the government making it worse, I think we all need it.

I have been opposed to the economic stimulus package from the beginning. The reason is that it’s nothing more than a big fat giveaway of tax payer money to people who don’t want to work, or pay back for those who supported Obama.

Now some of you may not like hearing it, but if you take a look at what’s actually included in the package, you will find there is very little going towards creating jobs, and the jobs they plan to create will employ 300,000 ILLEGAL immigrants, not 300,000 Americans.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Herbert Hoover together prolonged the Great Depression and turned it into an economic crisis by government interference. If you don’t believe me, look it up.

Presidents like John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan helped prosper our economy dramatically by doing the one thing government can do to prosper the economy: cut taxes.

Transferring wealth from those who have worked hard and played by the rules to those who are lazy and have made dumb mistakes isn’t the way the prosper the economy. You also can’t use debt to spend your way to prosperity either.

The bottom line is that government interference in the economy doesn’t work. We are not getting a stimulus; we are getting a spending spree.

If I didn’t have other obligations, and weren’t going to be on vacation elsewhere, believe me, I would love to be at this tea party. Better I’m not there. After all, a tea party wouldn’t be enough. On with the Revolution!
