Why I Am A ‘Conservative’ — Opinion Central — GOPUSA
Unlike the guy in the article, I am not a registered Republican. I lean more towards the libertarians because I believe, like Henry David Thoreau, that “the government that governs best governs least.”
One of the reasons that the United States is in the economic mess that it is in right now is all of the social engineering that is going on. Quite frankly, I’m sick of it.
You can’t make people equal in terms of their abilities or what they have, but you can make them equal under the law. That’s all, and we should all be treated equally under the law.
Now, with that said, I want to talk about how this as it applies to business and internet marketing. The bottom line is that you are not only responsible for your business, but you are accountable for the success and growth of your business. If you don’t take responsibility, you will fail.
Things are going to get worse for awhile in our economy. The reason is that too many in Washington, including the new president, have never had a real job or run a real business. They will dictate policy based on their agenda, and it will only hurt those who achieve and those who really make this country so great.
Quite frankly, the rich are not the enemy. They are the ones who create jobs. Income redistribution and stealing from the rich to make things “fair” is not the answer.
If you’re not successful, if your business isn’t flourishing, stop blaming it on your race, your sex, and or any number of other reasons and go take a look in the mirror. You’ll find all of your answers there.
Stop blaming others for your lack of success and get off your butt and do something about it. The bottom line is that your actions today determine your future, and it really doesn’t matter who we elect. They’re just human beings like the rest of us. They can’t do anything really to make you a success. Only you can do that.
If you need an education, get one. If you want to start a business, learn how. What I am saying here is that YOU need to take action. Only your actions will bring the results you want. No one else’s.
I am making plans right now, even as we speak, for my business to prosper even more than in 2009. To make more money next year than this year in spite of the economy. Now is the best time to grow your business, and you can do that by marketing and marketing more.
In spite of all of the campaign promises that the new president made in his campaign, a lot of what he is advocating is actually bad for the economy, and it’s bad for you as a business person.
The most potent example of this is wealth redistribution. By taking away money from the rich to give to the poor in order to make things fair, he’s doing nothing more than penalizing those who work hard to help those who for the most part are lazy.
He’s not helping anyone. Instead of telling others to get out and get an education, learn how to start a business, learn how to succeed, he’s telling people that he will take care of them and make things fair.
I’m sure that some of you think I’m being mean, that I’m being unfair, and that I’m being harsh. Far from it. The reality is that we need to stop punishing those who achieve, and we need to start holding accountable those who are just plain lazy.
Yes, there are those out there who are in genuine need of help, and we need to help them. What we don’t need is the government forcing us to be charitable and giving away our hard earned money to illegals, the lazy, and those who simply want a free ride. That’s exactly what is happening, and it’s part of what precipitated this economic crisis.
If you want to succeed at anything, there’s really only one way to do it. You have to first decide what it is you want. Once you decide what you want, then you need to make a plan to get it. Once you have a plan, TAKE ACTION.
Nothing happens if nothing moves. It’s a basic law of the universe. All the positive thinking in the world, the “Secret,” and all of that other nonsense won’t get you what you want. You have to DO something!
The bottom line is that you can succeed under any circumstances if you’re willing to go through any obstacles necessary in order to do it. No one can hold you back. Only you can hold yourself back by believing what other people say or listening to bad advice.
Stop listening. Decide what you want and then go for it. Your life is yours. It’s up to you. No one else.
