There are actually two types of articles that are very easy to write: lists and recipes.
Lists are where you compile a list of tips on a particular topic. For example: “5 Tips for Writing Better Articles”
A recipe is where you explain how to do something. A short step by step, a how to. For example, “How to Write a Short Article”.
What is key to writing both types of articles is your title. You want to write a title that makes it very easy to understand both what your article is about and your title will also help your reader decide whether or not to read your article.
An easy way to learn to write good titles is to use a program like Headline Search.
You can use this free program to help you create a swipe file of titles for your articles.
When writing your title, make sure that you include the keywords you want to target. If your article is on Article Writing, then include this phrase in the title. This helps you target your article for the search engines.
Once you’ve written your article, then you want to write your list of tips. You can write just a list of tips, or you can write a list of tips with a short two to three sentence explanation of each tip.
For example, in an article on article writing, here is a list of tips:
1. Write your headline
2. Write a list of tips
3. Write two to three sentences about each tip
4. Write your beginning and conclusion
5. Write your resource box
What’s important here is to make sure that you stay on topic. All of your tips should be related to your topic.
Once you’ve written your title, tips, and your explanatory paragraphs, then you want to write your beginning and conclusion.
Your beginning should tell your reader what the article is about. Your beginning only needs to be about two to three sentences, but it should be well written, and it should make your reader want to read the rest of the article.
For example:
Writing articles is a quick and easy way to promote your business. You can easily write an article to promote your business if you follow the tips below.
Although this is a simplistic example, you get the idea.
The conclusion sums up your article. You should tie up your article. For example:
Although learning to write articles may sound complicated, especially if you don’t consider yourself a writer, it’s a very powerful way to market your business, and you can unleash a traffic virus for your business for years to come.
The final element of your article is the resource box.
This is as important as your headline because this is where you will promote your business. This is also the area where I see more article writers fail because they write a resource box that’s too long, they promote a product that’s totally unrelated to their content giving the reader no incentive to visit the site, or they forget to include the link to their website.
Use your resource box to drive traffic to your site. Offer your reader a free ezine subscription, free ebook, or other incentive to visit your website.
Never drive your reader to an affiliate page. You will be building the list for your merchant, not for yourself. On average, it takes about seven contacts with a reader before he/she buys. If you keep marketing to the same list, you’ll make the sale.

Always include a link to your website. Keep your resource box short, normally no more than 250 to 300 characters long.
