The Well Fed Writer

I have nothing against those who want to live the starving, tortured artist lifestyle. Plenty of our greatest artists ever, including F. Scott Fitzgerald, Van Gogh, and others, were all tortured. They also created some of the greatest art that ever existed.

However, I live in the real world, and the fact is, the bills have got to get paid. If you’re a writer who wants to be a best selling author, either with books, articles, or whatever, why not pay your bills and do something you love: Writing?

Anyway, I’ve read a tons of books on starting a writing business, as well as plenty on freelance writing. However, in my opinion, my buddy, fellow Atlantan, Peter Bowerman is the best. He’s the author of the Wellfed Writer, Back for Seconds, and The Well Fed Self Publisher.

Peter has made some major changes to his site, including adding ebook versions of all of his books. The reason I’m posting this though is to let you know that you can get Peter’s books at a steep discount because apparently he quite a few dinged books on hand.

Usually, when the book is dinged there’s nothing more wrong with it than it’s been scratched, or the box the books were shipped in is damaged. However, these books can’t be sold at full price.

For writers who are looking for more money, or for those of you who want a change of career and love to write, then I recommend you check out Peter’s site. He really is the best, and he offers a free monthly ezine with lots of tips on freelance writing, as well as other information freelance writers would be interested in.

I don’t know how many books he has left at this time, so if you’re interested, I would check out this offer now.

I have to say I’m a big fan of the Book Buzzr site and blog. They always offer a ton of resources, many of them free, to help authors market their works.

If you go to this link you’ll find a list of free webinars that they’re offering to help you market your books. This includes marketing on Facebook, Twitter, and other sites.
