I know that we writers are sensitive souls. If we weren’t, maybe writing wouldn’t always be so hard. I know there are times when I wan to quit because my writing has become stale, I’m out of ideas, or I’m just off my game.
After reading this post, it made me realize that sometimes what we need to do is simply get our passion for writing back. Maybe that’s not as easy as it sounds.
I recommend you read this post. It helped me to think about the first time I decided to throw my writing out there. Boy was I scared. Of course, there have been many times I’ve been scared because I started with new types of writing, like articles.
Writing is a craft. The more you do it, the better you get at it. Just remember to hold onto that passion. I know at least in my case, I may have lost some of it because I do it so much. Sometimes it’s not the time you spend doing something that will make you good though; sometimes it’s the time you take off that makes you better.
Take some time off.
